The following proposal was developed during my doctoral program at the University of West Florida. The organization and all details are fictional, and any similarities to an existing organization are coincidental.
Client: World Organization of Organizational Technology
The World Organization of Organizational Technology (WOOT) is an international professional organization dedicated to providing a balanced approach to performance improvement (PI) while giving practitioners opportunities to enhance innovation, build leadership, and develop professional relationships through local chapters. Their vision is to be a professional community that transforms organizations through innovative PI practices. Over the last three years, the WOOT has experienced a 15% decrease in membership and an annual revenue loss of over $125,000 from member dues, conference registration fees, and sponsorships. The losses continue despite efforts to recruit and retain members. After failed attempts to resolve the issue internally, WOOT’s board of directors hired Llama Consulting to investigate the problem and recommend interventions.
